THE LATEST AND GREATEST FROM HUBSPOT...

Happy New Year! If you've been following along with us, you know that HubSpot dished out hundreds of game-changing product updates in 2023 — and Q4 was no exception.

Even as the year wound down, HubSpot introduced several exciting features last quarter. Today, we're sharing our top three picks that you don't want to miss.

Let's dive in!

P.S. Want to catch up on all the best HubSpot updates from 2023? You can find previous quarterly roundups in our newsletter archive >

1. WORKFLOW ACTION SETS (BETA) ✅

HubSpot's new workflow feature, called Action Sets, allows Enterprise users of all Hubs to save and reuse groups of workflow actions. Once created, Action Sets are available to anyone with workflow permissions.

While the copy/paste functionality for workflow actions added earlier in 2023 is similar, it is limited to moving a single action from one workflow to another at a time. Action Sets, on the other hand, allow you to copy entire workflows or branches of logic into new workflows with a few clicks.

Some important things to note about Action Sets:

  • Action Sets are only available in workflows of the same type. For example, Action Sets created in contact-based workflows are only available to use in other contact-based workflows.
  • If an Action Set has branches, it can only be added to the end of a workflow.

2. SOCIAL PUBLISHING UPDATES 🙌

There were a few long-awaited updates to HubSpot's social media publishing tools for Marketing Pro+ users that will greatly streamline content creation within the platform.

  • Instagram tagging (posts & reels): Users can now tag accounts on Instagram posts and reels by hovering over the attached image or video and clicking the tag icon, as shown in the example below.
  • Instagram first comment: Additionally, users can now schedule the first comment under Instagram posts.
  • LinkedIn @mention personal accounts: Last but not least, users can tag personal LinkedIn accounts in the body of their posts using @mentions. Hooray!

3. ASSOCIATE RECORDS OF THE SAME OBJECT TYPE 🔗

Drumroll, please... for all Hubs and tiers, users can now associate objects of the same type, e.g. contact to contact and deal to deal.

There are almost endless use cases for this new feature, but some popular ideas include:

  • Tracking expansions and renewals with deal-to-deal associations.
  • Linking parents to students with contact-to-contact associations.
  • Grouping franchise locations using company-to-company associations.
  • Cataloging client referrals with contact-to-contact associations.

It was difficult to narrow down all the great updates from HubSpot last quarter to just a handful of the top hits. Are there any that you think we missed, subscriber? Let us know, we'd love to hear from you!

😉 TLDR: You can now save and reuse sets of actions in workflows, mention personal accounts on LinkedIn, tag users on Instagram posts, schedule the first Instagram comment, and associate records of the same object type in your CRM.
