THE LATEST AND GREATEST FROM HUBSPOT...

In Q3, HubSpot launched more than 160 new features and updates across its Hubs. We've sorted through all of the release notes, betas, and demo videos to put together this list of the top HubSpot updates from Q3 you don't want to miss.

1. CONDITIONAL PROPERTY LOGIC 💡

Perhaps one of the most exciting updates from Q3 is the launch of conditional property logic. Available to all Pro+ accounts, this new feature allows admins to define what properties are displayed (required or optional) depending on the value of another property. These rules can be applied to properties for contacts, companies, deals, tickets, and custom objects.

The use cases are pretty much endless, but some of our favorite examples include:

  • If deal status is changed to "Closed lost", the "Closed lost reason" property appears and is set to required. If the "Closed lost reason" value is changed to "Lost to competitor", the "Competitor name" property appears and is set to optional.
  • If deal priority is set to "High", the "Amount" and "Forecast category" deal properties appear and are set to required.

2. DEAL JOURNEY ANALYTICS

In a perfect world, deals would take a linear path through your pipeline — but we all know that isn't always the case. This can make it difficult to measure conversion rates and find opportunities to improve your sales process.

In Q3, HubSpot updated its out-of-the-box deal funnel report in Sales Pro+ so you can now accurately track skips, conversions, and time-in-stage metrics. With these new insights, it's easy to see where deals are falling off, skipping steps, or getting stuck in your pipeline so you can make a game plan to improve.

3. PROSPECTING WORKSPACE 🔍

Currently in public beta for Sales Hub Pro+ customers, the new prospecting workspace consolidates everything your sales reps need to manage prospecting in HubSpot on one screen, including tasks, sequences, and more.

This impressive new feature steps up the competition between HubSpot Sales Hub and other well-known sales solutions like Salesloft and Outreach. 

4. NATIVE SMS 📱

Lastly, HubSpot added native SMS in Q3! This is a paid add-on for Marketing Pro+ accounts in the U.S. The new SMS tool functions similarly to the email tool, allowing you to add personalization tokens to your messages, create automated SMS workflows, and associate your texts with marketing campaigns.

This is a huge win for marketers as research shows that 97% of marketing texts are read within 15 minutes. In comparison, marketing emails have much lower open rates at around 20-30%.
