WALKING THE WALK...
What we learned launching our new website
Last week, we launched the all-new webitmd.com with a completely refreshed brand. Since we've helped plenty of our clients do the same, we knew what we were getting into. Still, there were a lot of things that we learned along the way.
- 💜 Teamwork really does make the dream work. Sure, designers and developers may do the heavy lifting. But launching a new website involves collaboration between every part of your business, from operations and sales to branding and content strategy. When everyone is engaged, it's like a well-oiled machine.
- Launch day is just the beginning. A new website alone will not necessarily transform your marketing results. But it is a great catalyst for changing up your marketing strategy. Whether you're trying to reach a new audience or reposition yourself in the market, make a plan to incorporate these goals into your overall marketing strategy as soon as you go live.
- Process over perfection. You're going to encounter snags and setbacks. It's the nature of highly complex, technical projects. The sooner you let go of perfection and embrace the process, the better. For us, having open lines of communication, clear documentation and multi-disciplinary collaboration was the secret sauce that helped us catch and resolve any issues as quickly as possible.
We put a lot of love, purple and calculated risk into our new site. Check it out and reply to this email to let us know what you think!
